Here are some of the questions we’re regularly asked by people wishing to join us. Hopefully the answers we’ve provided will help to answer some of the questions you have.

FAQ

Q. How often is the website updated?

A. The vacancies on our site are all live and updated on a daily basis and remain there until a candidate has been successful at interview. We update them as quickly as we can but because we’re regularly interviewing people, some vacancies may have already been filled when you see them on the site.

Q. Why is my local branch not showing on the website?

A. Only those branches with current vacancies are displayed on the site.

Q. Is every vacancy shown on the website?

A. No. In fact, only one of each type of vacancy is shown.

Q. How many branches can I apply for?

A. If the branch of your choice has no suitable vacancies you can change your application to another branch.

Q. If I am not successful can I apply again?

A. You can, but to maximise your chance of success we recommend that you spend some time working on the feedback you received before reapplying. This should be at least six months after your initial application.

Q. If I have worked for Barclays before how should I apply to re-join?

A. Simply apply via our website, but if you have any further questions please contact us on 0845 3000689.

Q. Will I need to take the Online Assessment?

A. Yes, when applying for most our roles you will be required to complete the Online Assessment. Please note that your score will be valid for six months from the day of completion.

Q. I have received an email asking me to complete the Online Assessment but I have already completed one.

A. Depending on a role you applied for, you may be required to fill-in different versions of the Online Assessment. When you access the Assessment and can see tasks which have not been completed, please finish any outstanding parts. Please contact Helpdesk number on 0845 3000 689 if you have any questions.

Q. How do I access the Online Assessment?

A. You will receive an email with a link to your Online Assessment. You will need to log in with the username and password you chose when applying.

Q. How much time do I have to take the Online Assessment?

You will need to complete the Online Assessment in seven days from applying for a role or before the role closing date if this is sooner. It is recommended that you complete the assessment as soon as you receive the link.

Q. Do I need any additional software to access the Online Assessment?

A. Please make sure you are using the latest versions of Java and Flash Player. You can download the most recent software updates here:
