The team’s unshakeable purpose is to protect the Barclays of today, create the Barclays of tomorrow and inspire the Barclays of the future.

The focus here is on Smarter Human Banking. This means using technology to revolutionise our client and customer experience. To free our colleagues to interact with our customers in a truly human way. And to eradicate the digital divide and leave no-one behind. Think Barclays Pingit and Mobile Cheque Imaging. Think Barclays Accelerator and Digital Eagles. Through innovations like this, C&CE have played – and will continue to play – a key part in making Smarter Human Banking happen.
